Good Practices
– Know how to listen (to your advisor and other people along your journey);
– A Master’s degree is a short shot, don’t waste time on things that aren’t a priority; Reasoning helps in the doctorate too;
– Always write, and in English! It helps to have material that is almost ready and that will make it easier to “get ideas out of your head” and identify gaps;
– Try it! Always!
– Did you stuck? Request a meeting!
– Always bring something formatted for discussion to the meeting
– If you realize that it’s been a month and nothing significant has happened, yes, that’s a bad sign! Get organized or request a meeting.
– Biweekly feedback!
– Literature review is constant. At least one article per month
